Camping Château de Galinée is a small, rural campsite which is perfect for families with young children. This attractive wooded site is set in the spacious grounds of a striking château, within a five minute drive of the stunning expansive beaches of the Emerald Coast in North Brittany.
This green and leafy site is set back in the countryside, a short distance away from the busy seaside resort of St Cast-le-Guildo. There is a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere, with good privacy offered from the large pitches.
Your family will be well entertained on site – either at the water complex with its indoor and outdoor pools, featuring children’s pools, water slides and a Jacuzzi, or away from the water at the play area, bouncy castle, mini-farm or multi-sports ground and tennis courts. There are plenty of activities and facilities on site to suit young families but best of all is probably the sheer green space for just running around in!
The modern bar and restaurant on site are a great place to socialise in the evenings, and in July and August you can enjoy some of the entertainment including theme nights and concerts featuring local bands.
The nearest town to the campsite is the busy resort of St Cast-le-Guildo (4mls) which has many restaurants and bars, with a few shops to roam around. The peninsula offers beautiful scenery contrasted by cliffs, rocky coves and seven sandy beaches. There are great beaches within a five minute drive - Pen Guen is the closest, but the larger Grande Plage (4mls) is the best beach in the area for families as it is sheltered and has a lot of facilities.
Further afield, the old fashioned seaside resort of Dinard (12mls) also has a fine sandy beach and lovely coastal walks. The harbour city of St Malo (17mls) is a maze of medieval streets packed full of history and culture – visit the walled town ‘Intra-Muros’ at its heart with the stunning Cathédral de St Malo.
For family fun days out, a visit to St Malo Grand Aquarium to watch the sharks’ meal times is fascinating! The Zoo de la Bourbansais at Pleugueneuc outside Dinan is home to some wonderful rare animals.
