The campsite is set on the banks of Lac de Pareloup - here you can relax on the grassy banks or take a cooling dip in the water. Fishing is also available (permit required), or you can hire a canoe or pedalo and take to the water. On site, there is a pool complex, offering stunning views over the lake from the terrace. Children will love the water slides and splashing around in the water. The campsite facilities are housed in converted farm buildings, and include a bar and restaurant, serving up delicious specialities.
Camping le Caussanel is 3 miles from the small village of Canet-de-Salars – this really is the heart of France, so you’ll need to drive to Pont de Salars (6 miles) for more facilities.
Rodez (20 miles) is the nearest large town – here you’ll find a good range of shops and restaurants, as well as the spectacular cathedral.
The spectacular viaduct at Milau is just 35 miles from the campsite – it’s worth the drive for the fantastic views. If you’re wondering how on earth it was built, there is more information at the visitor centre at Creissels (33 miles).
Children of all ages will enjoy a day out learning all about the world of insects at Micropolis (20 miles).
