Camping Grand'Terre is located in the stunning surroundings of the Ardèche Gorges, just 200m from the Ardèche river.
Camping Grand'Terre is a great base for exploring this unique area. The campsite has partnered with a local company to offer canoe and kayak trips to the Ardèche Gorges, including departures from the campsite beach. Other action-packed activities include bike hire, tennis courts, sports tournaments and a children's club in high season. There's also evening entertainment and a great swimming pool if you want to relax from all of your outdoor adventures.
Take a cable car ride to the top of Puy de Sancy and enjoy the stunning views from the highest peak in the Massif Central. Explore the region’s stunning volcanic barrier lakes of the region, including Lac Chambon which was formed after the explosion of the Tartaret volcano in Murol. Explore the nearby medieval town of Ruoms, with its castle surrounded by ramparts. There are also loads of outdoor activities available such as climbing, canyoning and boat trips. Take a spectacular drive through the Gorges de l’Ardèche from Pont d’Arc to St Martin. See the oldest and best preserved figurative cave paintings in the world at the Caverne du Pont d’Arc or visit the Pont du Gard, an outstanding Roman aqueduct and bridge spanning the Gardon valley.
